18th July 2011 – DCG Group has won a major data backup and disaster recovery managed services contract from Northern & Shell, owners of a fast growing media empire that includes Express Newspapers, Channel 5, and the international OK! Magazine.
DCG’s skills in adapting services seamlessly to major change were key to winning the business, along with accreditations that met high corporate requirements for security.
“DCG are providing a complete managed solution for our entire estate, backing up global data from across the Group,” said Ben Dyer, Joint Head of IT at Northern & Shell.

The fact that DCG hold the ISO27001 standard for information security was also critical to the contract, providing assurance to the client and their auditors that data would be securely backed up and stored and could be rapidly retrieved as necessary.
