The Result

GFI currently use DCG Managed Backup and Recovery services in offices from Hong Kong and Singapore to Sydney, Seoul, Tokyo and London.

“The data is generally backed up and taken straight offsite electronically but there are different requirements in some of our overseas offices,” explains Steve Gray, IT Systems Team Leader. DCG have adapted their solution, so that the backup and recovery works with varying requirements in our different offices. We also have a leased line into our DR site, so that DCG can restore the DR site as well if we have a complete system breakdown.”

We use the recovery service nearly every day to do basic restores – anything from complete file servers to individual emails.
